Alumni Board Annual Election:

The AMSL Alumni Association Board of Directors annual "Call for Nominations" begins today and ends next Wednesday, November 9th at 11:59 p.m. (eastern). Unlike in years past, the nominations process will be conducted electronically.

Once the nominations are verified and biographical material is assembled, the election will also be administered electronically and completed by November 30th. No paper ballots will be mailed; accommodations for special needs may be available on a case-by-case basis. There are three openings for Chair on the Alumni Board this year. A Chair is an at-large member who normally serves a term of four years and may sit on one or more committees.

By way of further background, AMSL contracted with a nationally-recognized vendor VoteNet Solutions to help conduct this year's election. This move followed the Alumni Board's unanimous report and recommendation in favor of the switch. Many thanks to this year's Alumni Board Election Committee members and their predecessors who conducted the necessary due diligence in identifying a suitable platform.

Please be patient, however, with the transition. As with any new endeavor, you may have questions or concerns as the new platform is rolled out. For example, the nominations and official ballots will be sent to the primary e-mail address AMSL has on file for you. This e-mail will also serve as your "username" for logging-in. This may be a different e-mail address than you normally use.  Do not be alarmed; please simply direct any questions or concerns you have to my attention at the e-mail or telephone number listed below.
