Assistant Professor of Research, Writing, and Advocacy
Professor DeGenova comes to Ave Maria School of Law after more than ten years of legal practice in the State of Florida. Much of her legal practice was focused on helping the less fortunate, especially children, low income families, and victims of domestic violence. More recently, Professor DeGenova served as a staff attorney with the Florida Department of Attorney General and the Florida Office of Courts Administrator, providing a wide variety of legal services including close support of judges. Professor DeGenova is an experienced law professor, having taught Criminal Procedure for nearly seven years, along with Torts, Contracts, and Criminal Law during select semesters, through a remote program hosted by Concord Law School in Los Angeles.
