Computer technology is constantly evolving. As the technology changes, manufacturers regularly offer new features at lower costs. To take advantage of current trends, we recommend:
Delaying the purchase of a new notebook computer as long as possible to take advantage of falling prices and increasing capabilities.
Asking for an educational discount from the manufacturer. Many manufacturers offer educational discounts to enrolled students.
Purchasing your new computer from a well know manufacturer, such as IBM or Dell, though students have also had good experiences with a variety of manufacturers.
Purchasing a Three Year Onsite warranty just in case you have any problems.
We support Microsoft Office and Microsoft Internet Explorer. We also strongly recommend that you purchase Norton Anti-Virus or other anti-virus software for your notebook computer.
As a student at Ave Maria School of Law, you are eligible to receive additional loan money to assist you in purchasing a notebook computer. Please contact the Financial Aid office at 239-687-5300 for additional information.
If you have any questions or would like additional purchase assistance, please do not hesitate to contact John DePrisco , at JDePrisco@avemarialaw.edu .
