Remote Access

To the Network
Users are currently not able to access the network remotely. This means that it is not possible to access the home or shared network files or run any network-located law school application from home.

To E-Mail
Users can access their law school e-mail remotely via the web version of the Microsoft Outlook web client. The link is provided through the Campus Community web page and can be directly accessed at http://webmail.avemarialaw.edu/. This feature will also provide access to your calendar, task list, contacts and school discussion groups.

To the Internet
The law school does not act as an Internet Service Provider (ISP). This means that it is not possible for you to connect to the Internet from home through a law school provided phone number. Students are encouraged to contact one of the many ISP's to obtain Internet access from home.

To Electronic Databases
The law school does allow you to access any of the library's subscription-based electronic resources from off-campus. You will need your library barcode to access the site through the library's web site. Westlaw and Lexis may be accessed from anywhere using your Westlaw and Lexis IDs.
