“The Law Library is a Teaching & Learning Center”
The Ave Maria School of Law library provides students and faculty with access to a comprehensive set of legal databases and research materials.
Our library catalog may be accessed at http://encore.avemarialaw.edu. From the “Advanced Search” page, you may limit your search to certain formats (e.g. print or DVD) or to certain locations (e.g. Reserve or General Collection). When you retrieve a record, you will see location, call number, and status data. The location indicates where in the library the item is held (e.g. Reference, Reserve, General Collection); the call number tells you the Library of Congress call number assigned to that book within that section of the library; and the status indicates whether the book is checked out or available. If an item is checked out, the due date will be listed.
To access your library account online, go to http://encore.avemarialaw.edu. and click on “Login.” Enter your name and barcode number from your Ave Maria ID card. Once you are logged in, you will be able to place requests for books that are currently checked out. You will also be able to access databases and electronic resources if you are not on campus.
