Donna Heiser has more than 25 years of experience in advancement, public relations and marketing. She joined the Law School in December 2012 and manages the advancement and external affairs departments. Most recently, she served as Director of Advancement at a Catholic secondary school where she was instrumental in raising $9.6 million of a $10 million Capital Campaign. Mrs. Heiser also served as founder and President of McCue Advertising & Public Relations and The Genesis Group. She is a member of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and serves on the boards of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals, Everglades and the Gulf Coast Public Relations Society of America, and has been listed in Who’s Who of American Women, Industry, Finance and Advertising. She is an Accredited Public Relations Counselor and received her B.A. from Rosemont College in Philadelphia.

Advancement Business Systems Analyst
Donna Anthus has worked in the field of development for more than 10 years, gaining experience in gift processing and reporting, event planning, compliance, and volunteer management. Joining the Law School in September 2013, she manages the database and conducts research to support the institution’s comprehensive advancement efforts. Ms. Anthus was formerly the Director of Advancement Services at Ave Maria University. She has also coordinated adult education in both corporate and academic venues for more than 20 years. Originally from New York, she received her Bachelor of Arts in education from Siena College in Loudonville, N.Y.

Sharon Sparrow comes to Naples, Florida and Ave Maria School of Law from the Bluegrass State, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Kentucky. Since 1977, she has lived and worked in Louisville, Kentucky in non-profit fundraising as either a volunteer of professional Development Officer in Health Care, Post- Secondary Education, Arts & Culture, and Human Services.
Sharon has a long history of expertise in the areas of volunteer Board Recruitment and Development, Planned Giving, Capital Campaigns, Annual Gifts, Alumni Programs, Major Gifts and Special Event fundraising.
- Jeff McManus

Jeff McManus joined Ave Maria School of Law in 2016 and currently serves as a Planned and Leadership Gifts Officer. Since 2008, Jeff has held leadership roles in philanthropy and fundraising, specializing in helping donors find the most meaningful ways to support charitable organizations they believe in.
Jeff graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI with a Juris Doctor degree in 1977 and began practicing estate planning and real estate development law in Traverse City, MI. Jeff guided thousands of individuals and families in their estate planning and real estate needs over his 30-year legal career. Jeff remains licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan. Jeff was also a licensed real estate broker and owner of a real estate company in Michigan.
Before moving to Florida to begin a second career working with non-profit organizations, Jeff was an adjunct instructor at Northwestern Michigan College, wrote a bi-weekly newspaper column on legal matters and was elected to serve multiple terms as a township trustee.
Jeff is a past Board member of the Everglades Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, a member of the Greater Naples Area Planned Giving Council and is a member of the Ave Maria Knights of Columbus.
Jeff and his wife, Sydney, and their two children have lived in Ave Maria, FL for the past nine years.

Amber Richards is a Southwest Florida native. She joined Ave Maria School of Law in April 2017. Ms. Richards graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Florida Gulf Coast University in Resort and Hospitality Management with a concentration in Event Management. She has previous experience working in University Housing and with non-profit organizations in event coordination, youth development, and advocacy work.
