Jennifer Lucas-Ross is responsible for all administrative functions of the Career Services and Alumni Affairs Office. Ms. Lucas-Ross offers individualized counseling services to students and alumni. She is also responsible for outreach to alumni and employers, coordinating the law school’s recruitment programs, providing professional development tools to students and alumni, and producing public interest opportunities for students. Ms. Lucas-Ross is a licensed attorney in Florida. Ms. Lucas-Ross serves on the Board of the Lee County Legal Aid Society. Ms. Lucas-Ross is a member of local bar associations and several national organizations including the National Association for Legal Professionals and the American Bar Association. Ms. Lucas-Ross represents the law school on the Florida Pro Bono Coordinators Association and the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Florida Bar.
Prior to joining Ave Maria School of Law, Ms. Lucas-Ross worked as a sole practitioner concentrating on civil litigation. Her professional background includes experience in management, academic support and teaching. Ms. Lucas-Ross earned her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center where she also served as Managing Editor, and then Editor-in-Chief of the international law journal. She completed her undergraduate studies at LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA, where she earned a degree in English.

Celestine Oglesby assists in all department services, including counseling, programming, placement, recruitment, marketing, and event planning. She conducts outreach to local, state, and national employers, works with students who wish to obtain judicial clerkships, and compiles data on alumni employment. Her diverse background spans more than ten years with experience in education, healthcare, project management, public relations, marketing, communications, and event planning.
Ms. Oglesby obtained a Juris Doctor from the University Of South Dakota School Of Law, a Master of Business Administration in International Business from Temple University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing/Management from Northwood University.
- Amy Howarth
Manager, Career Advising and Outreach
Amy Howarth is responsible for educating and assisting students and alumni with placement, mentoring, and networking opportunities. She works closely with the Director and Assistant Director of Career Services in organizing campus events, maintaining contact with students, and facilitating employer outreach activities. Ms. Howarth is also responsible for enrolling students who wish to pursue openings in work study, CLI and pro bono programs. Ms. Howarth obtained a Master of Education degree from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire. She is a licensed real estate agent and has a wide variety of professional experience including training and project management in the software industry; teaching and tutoring at the preschool and elementary school levels, as well as working as a Director of Education and Center Director at Sylvan Learning Centers. Most recently, Ms. Howarth served as a Coordinator and Faculty Assistant in the Research, Writing and Advocacy Department here at AMSL..
