Summer Opportunities

Aspiring attorneys who choose Ave Maria School of Law for their legal education typically do so with several goals in mind: to develop skills that will serve them throughout their professional careers, to gain practical experience in preparation for meaningful and rewarding legal work, and to receive thorough academic instruction in preparation for the bar exam. Graduates are prepared to enter the practice of law with a commitment to the highest ethical and moral standards, in an environment that recognizes the harmony between faith and reason.

Ave Maria School of Law encourages students to pursue summer legal employment after their first year of study to gain practical, hands-on experience. Beginning after the 1L year, students seek positions as legal interns or law clerks in a variety of professional settings. These opportunities may include private law firms, judicial chambers, government offices, corporate legal departments, and public interest organizations. Through these experiences, students apply classroom learning in real-world contexts while developing professional skills and judgment.
