Ave Maria School of Law Wins First Place at National ABA Law Student Tax Challenge

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Ave Maria School of Law is proud to announce that 3L Business Law Institute Fellows John Wright and Vincent Martino won first place in the 25th Annual Law Student Tax Challenge, held in conjunction with the American Bar Association’s Midyear Tax Conference in San Diego.
Selected as one of only six semifinal teams nationwide, Wright and Martino were invited to San Diego to argue their work product before a
panel of tax judges at the conference. Competing against approximately 70 teams from law schools across the country, the Ave Law team earned both the First Place Overall Award and the award for Best Overall Written Submission.
The students were coached by Professor Bruce Connolly and Ave Law alumnus Brian Zingaretti.
