United States Ambassador Randy Evans joined the Ave Maria School of Law faculty after a distinguished career in private practice, public service, and diplomacy. A litigator, author, and trusted advisor, he has represented clients in complex legal matters throughout the United States and around the world.

Mr. Evans served as United States Ambassador to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg from 2018 to 2021, where he helped advance diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between the United States and Luxembourg. His public service has also included leadership roles within the legal profession and government, including service as co-chairman of the Georgia Judicial Nominating Commission and chairman of the Republican National Lawyers Association.

At Ave Maria School of Law, Mr. Evans teaches Contracts and is committed to educating and mentoring the next generation of lawyers.

Mr. Evans earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the University of West Georgia.

Biography

Randy Evans joined the Ave Maria School of Law faculty after a distinguished career in private practice, public service, and diplomacy.

A litigator, author, columnist, and trusted advisor, Mr. Evans has represented clients in complex and high-profile legal matters throughout the United States and around the world. His career has included service as United States Ambassador to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, where he organized the historic 75th Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, negotiated the U.S.-Luxembourg Space Memorandum of Understanding that led to Luxembourg becoming a founding member of the Artemis Accords, and facilitated the Luxembourg Holocaust Agreement with the World Jewish Restitution Organization and the Jewish community of Luxembourg.

His public service has also included leadership roles within the legal profession and government, including service as co-chairman of the Georgia Judicial Nominating Commission, Georgia’s committeeman to the Republican National Committee, chairman of the Republican National Lawyers Association, and a member of the Georgia State Election Board.

At Ave Maria School of Law, Mr. Evans teaches Contracts and is committed to educating and mentoring the next generation of lawyers.

Mr. Evans earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Barristers. He received his Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the University of West Georgia.

Reflecting on his transition to legal education, Mr. Evans has said, “Having been blessed with these extraordinary experiences, I believe the time has come to give back to both my country and the profession that has given me so much.”
