Ave Maria School of Law Welcomes Former U.S. Ambassador Randy Evans to Faculty

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NAPLES, FL (June 19, 2026) — Ave Maria School of Law is pleased to announce that former United States Ambassador Randy Evans has joined the faculty as a full-time professor. Following a distinguished career in private practice, public service, and diplomacy, Evans has chosen to devote the next chapter of his professional life to educating and mentoring future lawyers.

“We are delighted to welcome Randy Evans to the Ave Maria School of Law faculty,” said Dean John M. Czarnetzky. “Throughout an extraordinary career in private practice, public service, and diplomacy, he has demonstrated a deep commitment to the rule of law and to serving others. We are especially grateful that he has chosen to devote this next chapter of his professional life to educating and mentoring our students. His decision to bring his experience, wisdom, and dedication to Ave Maria Law will be an extraordinary gift to the next generation of lawyers.”

For Evans, teaching represents an opportunity to give back to the profession that transformed his own life and opened doors he never imagined possible.

“For me, the legal profession has been one of the greatest gifts God could have bestowed,” Evans said. “It enabled me to rise from humble beginnings to opportunities I never could have imagined—litigating cases throughout all 50 states and around the world, serving as Counsel to the Speakers of the United States Congress, acting as personal counsel to a President of the United States, and representing our nation as a United States Ambassador.

“Having been blessed with these extraordinary experiences, I believe the time has come to give back to both my country and the profession that has given me so much. That journey begins by helping educate and mentor America’s future attorneys as they pursue their own dreams and aspirations. My hope is to inspire them to use their talents, skills, and passions in service to the rule of law, ensuring that our democratic republic remains strong and enduring for generations to come.”

Evans joins Ave Maria Law after a career that has spanned private practice, public service, and international diplomacy. Most recently, he served as a senior partner at Squire Patton Boggs. He also served as United States Ambassador to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, where he organized the historic 75th Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, negotiated the U.S.-Luxembourg Space Memorandum of Understanding that led to Luxembourg becoming a founding member of the Artemis Accords, and facilitated the landmark Luxembourg Holocaust Agreement with the World Jewish Restitution Organization and the Jewish community of Luxembourg.

At Ave Maria Law, Evans will teach Contracts to first-year students, helping to lay the foundation for their legal education and future careers.
