Ave Maria School of Law Congratulates Jeanine Pirro on U.S. Attorney Confirmation

NAPLES, FL (August 7, 2025)— Ave Maria School of Law proudly congratulates Jeanine Pirro, a longtime friend of the law school and a member of its Business Law Institute advisory board, on her confirmation as United States Attorney for the District of Columbia.

Pirro had been serving in an interim capacity and was confirmed by the United States Senate on Saturday, Aug. 2. A former Fox News host and former Republican district attorney of Westchester County, N.Y., she brings decades of legal and media experience to the role.

Smith Business Law Institute. “Ever since interning for her office when she was the Westchester County District Attorney, I have been inspired by her commitment to public service throughout her impressive career, and I know she will bring that same conviction and focus to her new role as United States Attorney.”
